ANZAC Trophy

This page explains the District 72 ANZAC Trophy for the Immediate Past District Governor/Director.

The Anzac Trophy is presented annually in November to the Immediate Past District Governor/Director.

It was first awarded in 1990 and the names of all District Governors since are recorded on this trophy. The trophy was presented by District 69 Governor Desley Cooper, DTM on the occasion of the 1990 District 72 Down Under Convention.

The Trophy commemorates the 75th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landings and the Treaty of Waitangi. The trophy also has the inscription "The District 69 Memorial Trophy 1990" which in effect recognised the last Down Under Convention held.
