I was invited to sunny Nelson, for the charter of the High Noon Nelson club, which is a lunchtime club, hence the name, on 3 August 2007.

The function was held at the Croquet Club rooms, where Past District Governor Carl Horn (in the center, looking relaxed) introduced me to the rituals of croquet, a game which makes the rules of the International Speech contest seem straight forward.

Right: Lyn Peterson ATM-B, Toastmaster for the night, presenting table topics

Lyn Peterson ATM-B was the chairman for the night, who introduced the speakers, and also the Table Topics. There were fine speeches and a fine dinner.

On the Saturday morning they had the Area Speech contests combined with Club Officer Training,
This was an excellent idea, to get the clubs together at the same time and kill two birds with one stone.

Lt Governor Marketing 2007-2008
