Yes, 'Love' was the theme, and also the Grammarian's Challenge for the speakers to use during the quarterly 'away from home' meeting of the Mount Victoria Toastmasters Club. Tulsi Indian Restaurant in Cuba Street, Wellington was the convivial venue. The evening gathering was held in one of its special private rooms.
The Table Topics session was all based on newspaper headlines some of which became very humorous. The ingenuity shown by the various speakers in making something out of the topics given was amazing.
Prepared speeches were given by Rima Kaio, Antony Zogg and Dan Haddon.
The club's members like these quarterly sessions that are held at different venues. One of the benefits is the strong club culture and friendships that result.
