The District Governor Chrissy Meyer DTM attended the Charter Dinner of Wainuiomata Toastmaster Club on Friday 18 July 2008.
The comradeship in this club was amazing reports Chrissy. It was an evening full of fun and awesome speeches by new and experienced toastmasters. Sponsors Diane and Neville Isherwood along with the mentors for the club David Coxon and Francis Chandrahasen have done a sterling job in getting this club chartered. A smorgasbord meal was provided by the local RSA and excellent coverage by Jamie Adams from City Life News (a local Wellington Newspaper) was given.
Sanjiv Jetly entered the audience with one of his speeches as he prepares for the Toastmasters International Inter-District speech contest in Calgary, Canada on 12 August 2008.
Everyone gave Sanjiv positive evaluations. We were also entertained and challenged by several rounds of Table Topics. All in all a great evening was held by all.
