Toastmasters Flags

The District 72 new Toastmasters "house flag" in Toastmasters gold and blue was proudly unveiled at the Executive Officer Training weekend held in Papatoetoe, Auckland on the 22/23 February 2003. The new flag (2.3 metres by 1.1 metres) carries the Toastmaster emblem and the District 72 website address. It is available to be flown or displayed at Toastmasters functions and events.

Each Division has one of the flags and one is held by the District.

The flags can be purchased from District (to order send an email to marketing@toastmasters.org.nz) for $220.00 each.  The District has to order them in batches of 5 to keep the individual cost down; otherwise they are $720 each.

These are intended to be flown regularly; wherever it is appropriate.  Protocols on how to fly the flag when flown in conjunction with the New Zealand flag can be found on the Ministry of Culture and Heritage website.

When you have an event which could effectively utilise the flag, and its promotional qualities, please contact your Division Governor for further details.

Toastmasters Week in March will be great time to hoist the flag and publicise the organisation.

The 2002-03 District Team proudly shows off the new flag:

Lt Governor Education & Training Ray Wolken,
District Governor Warwick Lowndes,
Immediate Past District Governor Joy Ackrill
and Lt Governor Marketing Colin Perfect

Protocols for flying flags

House flags such as this can be flown on the same flagpole with the New Zealand flag but the house flag must be always be beneath the New Zealand flag. If there is more than one flagpole (and the New Zealand flag is to be flown) the Toastmasters flag can be flown at the top of any of the poles except for the pole on which the New Zealand flag is flown.

To find out more about the Toastmasters flag, contact Lt Governor Marketing at marketing@toastmasters.org.nz
