Changes to Toastmasters New Zealand

On July 1, 2018, Toastmasters New Zealand (District 72) will become two Districts. The boundary between them will be north of Greater Wellington; this gives the best distribution of clubs between the two. As the founding club in the country was in Dunedin, the South Island (plus Greater Wellington) will retain the original District code; the North Island (excluding Greater Wellington) will become District 112.

The Toastmasters New Zealand website will continue to serve both Districts in the short to medium term, with revisions to sections (such as this one, and information concerning individual District activities) being made as necessary.

Revitalised Educational Programme - Pathways - Now Available to All

Toastmasters New Zealand was introduced to the Pathways Learning Experience on December 6, 2017. The programme roll-out was completed world-wide in May 2018.

Pathways will run concurrently with the existing programme for 24 months. During that period, awards from either programme can be completed. The date for discontinuing the existing (legacy) programme has yet to be formally set, but is likely to be around June, 2020

The July 2016 edition of The Toastmaster magazine has an article on the Pathways programme.
