TLI News

This page has news from your TLI Trainer.

Greetings fellow Toastmasters and visitors. Welcome to the TLI News page.

TLI? What's TLI?

TLI is the Toastmasters Leadership Institute.

In order for clubs to meet their members' needs it is essential that club officers understand how Toastmasters operates and how to perform their roles within it. Twice a year, the club officers have an opportunity to attend Club Leadership Training (CLT), where they learn about their roles and the organisation in general. Each division has up to two TLI Officers, whose roles are to coordinate this training. They work with the Division Governor to put together and deliver training programmes.

The TLI Officers also work with the District TLI Trainer to train the District Officers, those people who make the organisation function at area, division and district level. And if you ask them nicely, they might help to provide some training especially to your club.

So that, in a very small nutshell, is TLI. The mechanism for coordinating training within Toastmasters New Zealand, District 72.

If you want to know more, or get involved, read on, or contact us.

Round 2 Club Leadership Training

Your division teams will soon be running the second round of Club Leadership Training.

Club Leadership Training is open to all members, but is primarily a commitment for club officers. It's about ensuring that our clubs have the tools to operate effectively and meet their members' needs. It's also about making sure that members know what opportunities the organisation offers to improve their communication and leadership skills.
