Meeting Documents

The District holds two types of formal meetings throughout the year.

The first is the District Executive Meeting, which is attended by the Top Table, Division Directors and Area Directors. These are typically held every three months and are a place for District Officers to give reports, review the District finances and make operational decisions.

The second is the District Council Meeting, which is attended by the District Executive, Club Presidents and Club VP Educations. These are typically held in September and May. This meeting gives club leaders a platform to debate operational issues. It is also where District Officers are elected to their roles.

District Executive Committee Meeting,
Sunday 10 May 2026 @ 7PM via Zoom

Area Directors, Division Directors and other District Officers are invited to attend the District Executive Meeting on Sunday 10 May 2026 at 7pm. This will be held online via Zoom.

District Council Meeting,
Saturday 16 May 2026 @ 1:20PM, Hybrid

Club Presidents, VP Educations and District Officers are invited to attend the District Council Meeting on Saturday 16 May 2026 at 1:20pm. This will be a hybrid meeting with both in-person and online attendance available.

For those who wish to attend in person, the meeting will take place during the District 72 Annual Conference, which is being held at Caroline Bay Hall in Timaru over the weekend of 15 – 17 May 2026.

District Procedures

District 72 is governed by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of Toastmasters International, the District Administration Bylaws and Toastmasters International Policies and Protocols, which are common to all Districts.

District 72 Procedures provide guidance where Toastmasters International policies or procedures are silent or unclear. These procedures are reviewed each year and ratified by the District Council.
