Club Officers

Being a Club Officer is one of the most rewarding aspects of Toastmasters. It is an opportunity to directly influence the experience that people have when they visit your club. It is also the first step in learning about the wider Toastmasters organisation.

There are seven Club Officer roles – President, VP Education, VP Membership, VP Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant at Arms. It is also common that the Immediate Past President joins the Club Committee to provide experience and guidance.

Before you dive into it, we recommend reading the Club Leadership Handbook. This will help you better understand your role and key responsibilities.

On this page, you will also find other tools and resources to help you on your journey.

New Member Handbook 2025

This handbook is the ultimate guide to navigating your first few months of Toastmasters membership. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to get started – meeting etiquette, essential roles, and how to access Pathways.

To set new members up for success, we highly recommend emailing this handbook as part of your club’s onboarding process.
