According to the Toastmasters International Speech Contest Rules, each year, the District Director recommends to the District’s Executive Committee (DEC) at their first meeting for the year which contests are to be held at the Area, Division and District levels.
Traditionally, the District has held the International, Humorous, Table Topics, and Evaluation contests. In the 2024-25 contest year, the Executive agreed to drop the Humorous Speech Contest and replace it with the Online Speech Contest, a newly established contest by Toastmasters International.
This year, a recommendation will be put to the DEC for the following contests to be held by the District.
Please note this is a recommendation ONLY. The final decision will be made by the District Executive Team, which is due to meet on Sunday, 6 July 2025.
The Area Directors are your voice on the Executive Team. I strongly encourage you all to talk amongst your club members, whether at a club meeting, via WhatsApp, or email, and let your Area Director know, through your Club Executive Officers, how you want them to vote for your Club.
