Throughout the year, the District will organise a variety of training opportunities for members Club Officers and District Officers. This a great way to meet people from outside your club, share ideas and learn!
The two most important training events are Club Officer Training and District Officer Training.
Club Officer training is held at the beginning of the Toastmasters year (June to August) and halfway throughout the year (November to February). This involves attending one 3-4 hour session to learn about the role and how the wider Toastmasters organisation operates. Clubs that have 4 or more officers attend receive a point in the Distinguished Club Programme.
District Officer Training is held 2 – 3 time per year and is usually held over two days. This training covers a wider variety of topics and is designed around building leadership skills. It also looks at some of the more technical aspects of District Officer roles, like completing Club Visit Reports and running contests.
In addition to this, the District will often organise workshops that are open to all members!
Details about these events will be posted on this page. Also refer to the District Calendar for insights of when events will be coming up.
Club Officers Training (COT) helps newly elected officers step into their roles with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Learn what your role involves, how to lead effectively, how your contribution fits into the bigger picture, and how to help your club thrive.
Below are the dates available for this round of Club Officer Training. Club Officers only need to attend one session to receive credit in the Distinguished Club Program. Each session will run for approximately 3 hours.

We appreciate that a lot of us have busy lives. Attending live sessions has many benefits, including being able to meet other Toastmasters and share ideas. However, if you are not able to attend any of the available timeslots, Club Officer Training On Demand is a great alternative!
To access this material, you will need a Gmail account (if you don’t have one and want to have the opportunity to attend you will need to create one – it’s free to do so).
As we approach the final stretch of the Toastmasters year, now is the perfect time to build momentum, strengthen your club, and set yourself up for success in the year ahead.

Are you ready to be inspired? Throughout November, we hosted a number of Zoom workshops focused on developing leadership skills. Whether you are considering taking on a role within Toastmasters or want to level-up in the workplace, these leaders will leave you with personal insights, tips and wisdom! Although these sessions have now finished, the recordings are available for anyone to view.
