Club Officer Training On Demand - New!

We appreciate that a lot of us have busy lives. On-demand club officer training has been provided as an option for your convenience. Attending live or in-person sessions always has the benefit of being able to meet other Toastmasters and share ideas, so if you can attend one of these sessions we would recommend you do so.

To access on-demand club officer training, you will need a Gmail account (if you don’t have one and want to have the opportunity to attend you will need to create one – it’s free to do so).

Please note that training includes activities that need to be completed. This is so we can track your progress, and mark off you as having completed this training. To have this training registered, it needs to be completed by August 24th 2025. If you have more than one club officer role, you only need to attend one of these sessions, but we would recommend signing up for all roles you are an officer for to get the full benefit.

Club Officer Training Resources

Struggling to remember all the great information you learned from Club Officer Training? No Problem! Below are all the resources used during the training sessions. You can come back to view these at any time throughout the year. Don’t be afraid to ask for help via one of our WhatsApp groups!

Club Officer Training - Round Two

The focus for round two COT will be reflecting on your role for the past six months and where you want to go from here. You will have time to catch up with your fellow club officers in your role breakout rooms, discuss your role and its challenges, share ideas, and take part in sessions to strategize on converting new members and retaining current members, among other things.

The second round of COT will be a mix of online and in person training sessions.

Online sessions are as follows

*All online sessions have now finished. No more are planned for this round of Club Officer Training.

 In-person sessions as follows:

Divisions G and J:

  • Time: Sunday 26 January 1.30 pm to 4.40 pm
  • Venue:  Johnsonville Collective, 33 Johnsonville Road, Johnsonville, Wellington
  • Please register here.

Pre-COT Survey form

Once your registration has been received you will be sent a Pre-COT Survey form for completion. We would appreciate this being filled in so we have some idea of what you hope to get out of the training.

Zoom links to online COT sessions

The links to the online training sessions will be emailed to you the day before the session takes place. Please keep an eye open for this and check your junk folder if you have not received it.

Who can attend COT?

While all club officers are expected to attend one session, Club Officer Training is open to ALL Toastmasters, and you may register for one or more sessions.

How do I prepare?

Once registered, please download the following documents and complete them in preparation for the following sessions.

Club Role/s:

The information in these documents will be utilised but not presented in the sessions.

Bring a plate

If you’re attending one of the in-person COT sessions, we would greatly appreciate your contribution by bringing a dish to share. This not only helps with cost reduction but also creates a diverse spread for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for helping make our gathering a success!
